Governments around the world are bringing in legislation to ban fossil fuel cars in the not too distant future, in an effort to reduce harmful emissions. This means that car manufacturers have to up their game in terms of electric vehicle offerings.
The blogging team over at Eversmart Energy, a UK electricity supplier, have put together a list of 10 of the fastest electric cars in the world. Highlights include the Tesla Model S P100D with its appropriately named ‘ludicrous mode’ – which unlocks a top speed of 155 mph – and a number of bonkers concept cars such as the Lamborghini Terzo Millennio, which one day may be able to use nano-technology heal itself! Pictured above is the Genovation GXE – a Corvette which has had its engine replaced with a set of electric motors and tuned to reach speeds of 220 mph.
