Why write a guest post?
Becoming a guest author is a great way to share your views and expertise with a larger audience. It’s also an opportunity to promote your own business, brand, website or social media presence.
Guest blogging works best when your article is informative, insightful, original, useful and not overly-promotional.
General Guidelines
- Your guest article should be 1,000 – 3,000 words in length.
- We only accept articles written in English.
- You should use excellent spelling & grammar. Ask somebody to proof-read your article if necessary.
- Your article must be original. Do not submit content that has been plagiarised from other websites or generated using AI tools such as ChatGPT.

Colliersnews.com is a news & general-interest site covering a wide range of subject matter, so we can publish articles on most topics. Here are just a few examples:
- Entertainment
- Technology
- Health & fitness
- Home improvement
- Sport
- Automotive
- Business
- Travel
- Lifestyle
- Opinion
Are there any topics I can’t write about?
We cannot publish guest articles that discuss or link to the following types of content:
- Adult
- Gambling
- Pharmaceutical
- Illegal or scam websites
- Spam websites e.g. essay writing services
Your guest article should be generally suitable for a 13+ audience.
Using images
Please include a relevant photo or image with your article. This will be used as the featured image at the top of the page.
It is extremely important that you own the copyright to the image or have permission to use it. Stock photos or photos with a Creative Commons license are acceptable as long as you have the correct permissions.
There are plenty of websites that offer free-to-use images. Some examples include Pixabay, Unsplash and Pexels.
Your images should be in landscape orientation to avoid being cropped. The ideal size is 1200 x 800px. If you need to edit a photo there are free tools available online including Canva or Photopea.
Please do not send us low-quality images that have been created using AI.
Can I include links to other websites?
Yes. You can include up to 3 links within the body of your article. These should be relevant and useful to the reader.
Your backlinks will be tagged as “dofollow”.
How long does it take to get published?
After you submit your guest post it will be sent to our team for review. If it gets approved, we will aim to publish it within 2 business days.

Will my article be indexed by Google?
New articles are usually picked up by Google and other search engines within a few days. You can increase your chances of your guest post being indexed by:
- Making sure your article is unique, original and useful.
- Sharing links to your article on social media sites
- Creating links to your article from other websites
